研究方向：干细胞生物学，主要研究方向包括：（1）造血干细胞基础及临床应用研究，利用遗传工程小动物及细胞模型，结合组学研究策略及遗传、生化研究技术，解析调节造血干细胞自我更新机制及分化平衡的分子机制。在此基础上，通过模拟干细胞体内微环境（niche）开发临床级造血干细胞及其他成体干细胞的体外培养体系，应用于临床研究。（2）成体干细胞衰老机制及干预措施研究，利用遗传罕见病尼曼匹克动物模型，借助基因编辑及组学技术，解析溶酶体介导的胆固醇代谢调节成体干细胞衰老的机制。在此基础上，开展干细胞治疗罕见病的研究。

教学课程：干细胞生物学，分子细胞生物学

在所从事的研究领域，取得了一些有显示度的成果，包括绘制了造血干细胞和不同分化阶段造血前体细胞的全基因表达图谱；发现了调节造血干细胞增殖分化的关键基因；解析了干细胞生长因子受体与其他细胞因子受体相互作用分子机制；发现了Wnt信号通路调节干细胞胆固醇脂代谢的新机制；研发了干细胞体外培养扩增平台。发表SCI论文20余篇，多篇论文发表在PNAS、Blood、Plos Genetics 及JBC等重要影响力的期刊。担任多种SCI期刊的编委及审稿人。获得授权专利10多项（包括多项国际发明专利）、军队科技进步二等奖1项。研究项目获得10多项国家及省部级课题资助，包括国家自然科学基金、干细胞重大专项、科学院干细胞先导专项、军队重大科研课题、重庆市自然科学基金重点项目。现为国际干细胞研究协会会员，美国血液学协会会员，纽约科学院成员，中国微循环学会血液治疗分会副主任委员。
